Processing Steps

Description

solution treatment

was rapidly cooled after heating at 980-1000°C.

aging treatment

was heated to 718°C and held for 8 hours, then decreased to 620°C and held for 8 hours.

machining and welding

·Cold working: suitable for cold drawing and cold rolling, which can improve strength.

·Hot processing: It should be carried out between 900-1150°C.

·Welding: suitable for tungsten argon arc welding, etc., heat treatment is required after welding.

Application

·Aerospace: used for turbine blades, turbine discs, etc.

·Petrochemical industry: valves and pipelines for high temperature and high pressure.

·nuclear industry: structural parts suitable for high temperature environment.

·Gas Turbines: Turbine Blades and Seals.

Inconel 718 alloys are available in different shapes and sizes, including plates, bars, wires and forgings.
